Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Judgement Protection

I live in California, and a civil court judgement for costs might be made against my spouse if he looses his case against a big insurance company. What can we do to protect our home/bank accounts/assets etc. in anticipation of the judgement? He was injured in an auto accident that was not his fault, but we do not have faith that we will win against ''big insurance,'' and since they have already fought paying anything for the accident, they will probably stop at nothing to try to get as much money as possible in costs if he looses the case. Thank you...
