Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Re lawsuit for 4k credit card

Im being sued for an old credit card

account. I have court 9-10-08 I

answer back in court form stating

over stated , inaccurate amount and

past statue of limitation, but I was

not aware of a court hearing so they

continued w.lawsuit. Is there

anything I can do? at this point
