Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California
I loaned a friend money five years ago and they still have not paid me back yet. If I have a current e-mail from them saying they will start paying me back soon does that start the statute of limitations over?

Mr. Stone is right, it could, but it would depend on exactly what was said and in what context. In any case, waiting any longer will make SURE you run out of time if you haven't already.
