How long do they have to file with the court clerk a civiol 'proof of service form'? What do you do if they lied? Do they have to have a court order to just post it at your front door for collections?

Who cares? You received a lawsuit, take it to a lawyer. Make sure it gets responded to properly within 30 days of when you received it.
