If you are married and the house you are living in california is owned by your spouse can your creditors or lawsuits come after the house even though its not in your name?

Yes, it's possible. Your spouse is also responsible for your necessaries of life while living together. So, if these debts are for those, then they could go after your spouse's separate property. However, if there is community property available and the creditor does not seize those but go after the house, your spouse can get reimbursement from you, such as in the property division at time of divorce.
