Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California
I am getting phone calls from people claiming to be with a legal departmnet with a fraud case about ready to be down loaded against my name. As far as I know I have paid or are in the process of paying everything I owe. I use the phone trace by goggle and then try to call the numbe and its says this number in a working number. No if this were a reputable law firm would I not be able to contact them by the number that appears on my phone and they all have the middle eastern accent with an American name. So what should I do? And I have asked for proof over and over and nothing ever appears.

Hang up on them. Don't dial toll free (800, 888, 877, 866, 855) numbers unless you want your calling number captured.
Ignore such scams by phone. Don't answer calls from outside the area codes is your region. That way you will have a recorded message in case you want to file a complaint with the appropriate authorities.
