Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

I received a letter from a hired firm that a lien is being place on my personal possessions and/or property to satisfy a debt. I don't owe this debt. How do I stop this?

Contact the law firm and explain your position. But, if they sued you, even though you legitimately believed you don't owe the debt, and you never responded to the lawsuit even though you knew about it, then they obtained a default judgment against you. Then, it's not possible to argue now that you don't owe the debt.

If you're saying that you don't owe this debt because you're not the debtor, then contact the firm and prove that using your identity documents.
