Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Under the Rosenthal Act, if a debt collection agency is based in another state but doing business in California, can they be sued in California or do they have to be sued in the state they are based in (or under federal)? Thank you for answering.

Any business doing business in California can be sued in California. Even if they do not have any business activities in California, if they call or mail into California, the Rosenthal Act has "long arm" jurisdiction over them.
