i have been served for a medical bill that i tried to make payments on and they refused. they said that i will be liable for lawyer fees and court costs. I have been unemployed, a widow, 62 years, and have just lost my house. Do i need to respond and show up for court? What should i do?

If the first medical office will not negotiate with you, the collection company will often negotiate with you.
