Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Sued by capitol one

I asked the following question yesterday. Would it be in my best interest to file an answer today recaping the agreement made with the creditor? Can I ask to have the case dismissed or the payments to be on record with the court? See below:

I am being sued by a lawyer representing capitol one. I called and worked out a payment arrangement but for 4 times what I originally charged. Should I still file an answer with the court? This lawyer told me not to that it would only cost me more money in the end. What should I do I worry that they are lying. I also gave him my bank account info to make my first payment. He seemed nice but I am not sure if I should trust them. help

See an attorney to review the agreement. Typically, they're stipulated judgments that are not filed unless you fail to make a payment. Some lawyers file the judgment, but defer collection efforts unless there's a default.
