What is going on? What they are probably suing you for is the deficiency balance which is the difference in what you owed and what they sold the car for. They needed to have sild the car in a commercially reasonable manner so unless you destroyed the car before giving it back it doesn't seem like the case. I would get the Kelly Blue Book valuations and argue that is what they should of gotten for the car instead of hat they did. You will have to use the wholesale book value. You can get them online at www.kbb.com or better to go to a library and get the real thing.
