Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

summons

i rcvd a summons via mail in regards to a car i owned and was repossed. i tried calling the attorney office to make some type of arrangement and i was told i needed to pay one lump sum and no other options were given. i am not sure how to answer the summons and i cannot afford to have my paycheck garnished. and i cannot afford an attorney. not sure what to do i need help. i am in northern california

Get the forms for an answer and find affirmative defenses.

Look also for costs waiver.

You may then be in a better position to negotiate or fight.
