Suspended driver's license
A friend asked me to drive his rental car. I got into an accident. Because my name was not in the rental agreement, the insurance company is asking me to pay for the damages. I cannot afford it and they had my driver's license suspended. My friend is no longer returning my calls. I was unaware of the rules regarding rental cars and my friend said he was insured. What can I do?

Advise your own insurance carrier of the accident, and they might provide coverage. If you have no insurance, you are obligated to pay the damages or find debt relief in other ways.

Your personal auto insurance policy should cover you. If you do not have insurance, then they can come to you.
I am a bit confused about how your license was suspended though. It can only be suspended by DMV if you do not have insurance or if you have a judgment against you from an auto collision.
