Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Wedding Coordinator Nighmare!

I hired the services of a wedding coordinator in January 2002. Her services encompassed the total production of my wedding from start to finish, (Banquet hall, food, location, flowers, photography etc). The total amount of the contract we signed was for $25,350. We paid $5000 at the contract signing as a deposit and the remainder was to be paid in monthly installments of $2500 until the entire balane was paid off. All monies needed to be paid in full on the day of the wedding.

We signed the contract in Jan 2002. We were scheduled to marry on August 31st, 2002, however postponed the wedding in June of 2002. At this point we had already paid $15,000 towards her services for our wedding. Our contract states that the ''Client will be provided with a credit in full if the wedding is cancelled/postponed''. We are now planning our wedding, the wedding coordinator is unresponsive, we can't get a hold of her, she doesnt return our calls, and she has $15,000 of our money tied up. What should we do??

HELP!!
