Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

will a fine for stealing affect me if I can't pay for it? i'm 17 years old. or

Will i have seriuos problems with the law if I can't and don't pay the fine it was about$250 now it is $466. will it erase when i turn 18 if i don't pay? what's the worse that they could do to me?Is there a way to get out of this besides paying i don't want to call and ask cause i'm to scared it was the first and last time i do that it was little things nothing over $10 but more than one but it was alot less than $250.

Cases are sealed once you turn 18, but if you don't pay the amounts ordered by the court, your probation can be extended, and thus you face further penalties, until you finish paying off the amounts you promise to pay. This can cause you problems.
