Almost two years ago our club had a Christmas Dinner at a resurant. We paid $934.00 with a club check. . To date the check has not been cashed. We have never been contacted by the restruant. Since we paid the bill, are we still liable since the check which we submitted was never cashed. We have the money set asside in our club account.

Well, you had the party and received the benefit of their services, right? Obviously the restaurant made a mistake somehow and maybe lost the check. In my opinion, the club is still liable and I also believe you have an ethical and oral duty to contact the restaurant to arrange to pay this obligation.
