I went to a clothing store, unfortunately with the idea of steeling some articles for $240. i was caught by the cameras. I'm an international student from Italy studying English for 1 semester. my layer told me the I can go to jail for 4 years. is it real possible? please i need an advise. I'm really scared. thank you

Your lawyer has to tell you what is possible. Legally he knows the case law and codes, he is the one to ask your legal questions. You by state law can always hire a different attorney.
