You are now thrown into the meatgrinder of the criminal justice system. The grinder works very hard against innocent people. How do you convince the prosecution team (the store, the cop, the DA) that you are innocent? Not simple!

Your version of the facts suggests that there are many things to deal with and consider in fashioning a defense to your charges. A conversation would be much better than an exchange of email, which is cumbersome. I recommend that you have a consultation with a criminal lawyer in your area or near where the court is. You don't say where this is going to occur. Most lawyers give free consultations. I do. If your case is in Los Angeles, don't hesitate to call me for a free consultation. My telephone is 310 393 0639.
