Bail Bonds

I'm trying to bail my friend out of jail; the bail amount is $25,000 how much would it cost me to bail hime out.

Usually. Nonrefundable $2500. If he was just arrested maybe they will release him on his own recognizance "OR" on monday. Maybe the money would be better spent getting him a lawyer!

You are looking at around 10 percent premium. A private lawyer, if your friend hired one, perhaps could arrange with a bondsman for something in the 7 or 8 percent range.

Bail is usually 10%, but sometimes it can be reduced if your friend has an attorney working on his case.
