Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

CA Code 25658

My daughter is a bartender who was cited with CA Code 25658 for selling alcohol to a minor. She noticed a girl who was socializing with another group that was known to be friends of another bartender in the workplace. When the girl came up and ordered a drink, she took her money and served her a beer. When she noticed the girl did not go back to the group she had been socializing with, she immediately asked the girl to see her ID. Too late, the girl was a decoy. What happens now? The is her first citation, and she is devastated. What should she do?

Defend the charges with the evidence, witnesses and facts available. If she doesn't know how, then hire an attorney that does. If this is in SoCal, feel free to contact me if serious about doing so.

Children have occasional brushes with the law, hopefully they are very occasional. Wise parents get them good lawyers so as to maximize the odds that the children don't acquire criminal records.
