CA Law - Sex with a child

Is a 21-y/o man having sex with a 15 y/o girl in CA illegal? It happened in 1986 and continued while she was 16 and 17.

Yes, it was illegal. In most states the crime is called statutory rape, though California calls is unlawful sexual intercourse. The good news is that, barring some unusual facts, the statute of limitations has expired.
