Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Character Assassination

My husband's former spouse has falsely accused him of molesting his son (in a bitter divorce) to the point that she filed a complaint with Child Protective Services and her local police department. Her false accusations have been going on for over 3 years. She finally admitted in court that she knew he never did anything to his son. I think it was under the pressure of questioning by a court appointed psychiatrist who recently performed a custody evaluation (whose results were in favor of my husband). However she is not remorseful nor apologetic over her actions and has even told the psych that she felt she has done nothing wrong. She has also made false statements about me that I abused my children and I was involved in fraud and even filed a false complaint with the state about his son's day care provider (more lies).

We feel she will never stop unless we take some action to bring this out into the open and make her accountable for her actions and comments. What can we do?

Re: Character Assassination

Now, with her admission, you could sue for slander, etc., if she has anything worth collecting against, or just on principle.
