Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

To whom it may concern,

I was arrested and convicted for a federal crime in san diego,ca i was sentence to 1 year in prison and 3 years of probation,i was not arrested at my residence,and my case was involving aliens i got release november to a half way house and started probation on january,i asked for a travel permot to mexico wich is just a few miles from san diego but they say i couldnt go until i was done with probation is there anyway to change that if the judge made that decision?

You could file a Petition with the convicting court to seek an order regarding travel that you request, but if your parole / probation officer opposes it, then the court is not likely to grant it. Ask your PO.
