Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

can someone be convicted of possession for sales thru recorded jail phone calls of her discussing drug stuff with boyfriend. Nothing concrete was said, just a bunch of slang, and no transactions were made, less than a gram of dope on her person, no money, and paraphanelia used to inject drugs?

Maybe. It depends on what was said and on the other evidence.

CAN statements and confessions be used against an inmate? Yes.

Will they be enough to convict? No one can answer that without reviewing all the transcripts, charges, facts, issues, pleadings, etc.

If the inmate is serious about hiring an attorney to represent him in this case, feel free to contact me. After reviewing all the things mentioned, I'll be able to give an 'opinion' about the case, not a guarantee.
