Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

the cops arrested me and took my guns from my house one week later. saying i had a violation of probation; however i was no longer on probation. anyhow i just got the case dropped, now what do i do to get them back and will i have to pay anything for their wrong doings?

Well, you'll have to pay an attorney to file a motion for return of your property. If you are not prohibited from owning guns, and if the guns are 'legal', as is implied by you not being charged with a felony for having them, then you should be able to get them back, as long as they have not yet been destroyed or disposed of.
