Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Criminal Restraining Orders

I was wondering how I am able to get a criminal restraining order dropped on my husband. I am trying to reconcile with my husband and I am pregnant. I want him to be around to help me with the baby.

Re: Criminal Restraining Orders

Contact the court and have the matter put on calendar and ask the judge to modify the restraining order to allow peaceful contact. Also both of you should arrange to attend marriage counseling to help you work out the problems. Most judges will make this type of order if you request it. If you husband was represented by an attorney contact the attorney and ask for some help. Most courts have the defendant report to court regularly to report on their progress in the required domestic violence classes. If one of the appearances is set on calendar within a few days you could be there and make the request then.
