Re: Expunge record from 2000

Rules vary between the States, California expungements depend on what the record is for...juvi record can be sealed, a simple petition to the rendering court, misdemeanors are a simple 1203.4 form to the rendering court, felonies depend on whether or not prison was imposed, if not, simple petitions to the rendering Court, if so, certificate of rehabilitation in the county where you live...time limits apply to certs...if still on probation it is more difficult as courts are not always willing to terminate probation early...some difficult complications arise of probation was unsuccesful.

talk to an FL attorney for Fl specifics.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement provides some information and instruction. http://www.fdle.state.fl.us/expunge/

The process can be difficult to manuver through. Consider contacting an attorney to complete the process.

Re: Expunge record from 2000

Some convictions can not be expunged: not domestic violence cases, not if sentenced to prison, not juvenile cases [they can/should be sealed]. You should not have used names in your post for all the world to see. IF he thinks he qualifies for expungement, and if it is in SoCal courts, feel free to contact me to discuss the facts and procedures.

Re: Expunge record from 2000

Thank you for your posting. Penal Code section 1203.4 allows a defendant to bring a motion to expunge their criminal case after probation ends, if the sentence has been completed and if the defendant has no other cases, and has "good moral character". Our firm regularly does expungements for clients, and we certainly can help. If you'd like more information, feel free to email me directly at [email protected]. It's my pleasure to assist you in any way that I can.
