how to exspunge a old record

My freind was to go to canada for vacation,as it seems he was not allowed to enter,reason being,he has a couple assult charges on his record from when he was in his twenties.now he's 67,There is a form that can be filled out to exspunge this record,I need the steps to go by please help my friend really wants to go to canada in his lifetime thank you

Canadian policy is very strict with regards to almost any criminal conviction.

An expungement requires that your friend research, prepare, serve on the prosecutor, and file, a motion for petition to expunge his records.

This is something he can get from the court where he was convicted, or he can hire an attorney to handle this for him.

Assuming you are talking about California convictions, there are some 'violence' based charges that can not be expunged. Have him contact me to discuss the details, to determine if expungement is available, and the cost of doing this.
