fraud
I recently bought a used car from crown toyota a new car dealer,on the app. I said I was employed at my old company because my credit is shot and I didnt think they would finance me being on disability. I was just contacted by a detective saying that they are coming to seize the car because I lied about where I woprk, is this legal for them to do. I will be returning to work at the same company soon and am able to pay the monthly payment, why would they do this
Re: fraud
Yes, lying on loan applications is a crime which can be prosecuted. If all they do is take your car I would consider myself lucky. I would not try to say anything to the detective. If they prosecute you, you should contact a lawyer.
