Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

I have a friend in jail and am getting info to help her decide whether to take a deal of 16 mths. or to bail her out and get an attny. She was raided a year ago, not arrested but only detained. They offered her the "give up 3, go free" plan with no time factor. She was called every few mths and asked if she had any names yet which she didn't. They must have refiled the case (it's now been a year) and put out a warrant without her knowledge. She has 3 felony charges from the raid. My question then would be...what would be the advantage of getting her out and getting an attny?

First get her an attorney, then worry about bail. Maybe her attorney can get bail reduced. Do not agree to a deal until she has an attorney on board. If she had consulted an attorney in the beginning, she never would have agreed to the ill-advised and worthless snitch deal with the police.

I agree with Mr. Stone. She needs an attorney now, not later.
