Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

what happens if an inmate threatens the bailiff?

My ex husband is currently an inmate, convicted of domestic violence/restraining order violations. I was informed that while incarcerated he threatened one of the bailiffs. I was wondering if that will automatically increase his time to serve or if he will be released on his scheduled release date? I am curious because I am fearful when he is released he may still bother me or come after me.

The threat may have resulted in his losing good time credit. Or it could have resulted in criminal charges being filed.

You should call the prison and ask to be notified when he is released, and that he be ordered to stay away from you.

If you have trouble getting the proper result contact the local victim witness program or district attorney's office and ask for help.
