Is it legal for a jury members family to sit in on the trial.
Is it legal for the same family member to come up to the defendents family wanting to give them his number so they can call him when the verdict came in.
In Fresno County it is.
And is it legal for a member of the jury to discuss the trial on the phone during lunch. saying ( I don't know how long this is going to take. I have already found him guilty of arson. I'm just waiting for them to find him guilty to so we can get out of here.)

Any member of the public can sit in the gallery and watch the trial. The contact by the family member of the juror with the defendant is inappropriate, as are the prejudicial comments of the juror during lunch.
