legal question

My Nephew got arrested because he was in a car with a guy that was stop for having drugs. My Nephew did not have drugs on him but he is on parole. Can he get charged for the drugs the other person had on his person and house.

If it is the way you say it is, and the driver had the drugs and claims ownership, and your nephew had nothing on him and was not under the influence, then chances are he will be OK as far as fighting any new charges go. That said, they still might file charges. I would get a lawyer on this situation asap to prevent charges from being filed, if possible.

Your nephew will also face a parole violation situation where his predicament should be more difficult.

Yes, your nephew can be charged. Whether he can be convicted or not will depend on the available evidence against him and the skill of his attorney.

I recommend you hire a private lawyer to defend your nephew.
