Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Lewd acts w/child now my wife

Around 12/2000 I was charged with lewd acts with a child for having sexual realtions with my girlfriend. Her parents filed the charges against me. She was 13 at the time, i was 19. We moved to Texas hoping to leave all that behind us. We are now legally married and have a 4 year old daughter. I have been arrested twice on the california warrent here in Texas, but in either case has the state of california been interested in having me extradited. I thought this had finally become part of the past. but recently when applying for a home mortgage loan this situation cam up.

She has recently turned 18. I have full support of her parents and her ofcourse. I heard there was a 6 year statute limitation on this case is this true and if not Is there any way I can have these charges dropped without having to plead guilty to a lesser charge or anything??

An attorney can probably appear in court, with the right documents from you, and get the charges dropped and the warrant recalled. Contact me if interested in doing so, and if the court is in Southern California.
