Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

could this make it t o court?

I'm trying to find out if you believe I should be getting prepared for court or if it will even make it there. My Ex friend had a truck that she left me the key to at my apartment to drive while she was away. Now the truck was only driven to the place I had permission, but when the apartment complex threatrened to tow her car we called her and she or her boyfriend gave us permission to move it so it wouldnt get towed. We parked it on the street where im guessing it was gotten into. When she came to pick it up the key was not found we offered to pay for a new ignition and this was over 2 months ago she didn't take up the offer. Now she is trying to turn around and take my fiance and to court for grand thieft and never giving permission for her car to be driven. Now I have an email from her stating that she is going to bring up things in court that are untrue. Anyways do you think this is even something to worry about or should I just let it go??

Re: could this make it t o court?

It could. However, you know the other person better than any one on the internet. The probability that an actual complaint will be filed is a function of the personalty of the person involved. You should gather your evidence and place it in a safe place. Then you will have it ready if you are sued.
