Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Male escort Service

I'm aware prostitution is illegal, however if run properly (absolutely no sex) male escort services have a high potential for profit south OC.

With the nature of this business is it common for male escorts to completely stay away from personal relationships with customers to avoid possible prosecution for sexual acts for gifts/money?

But you have women who may become fond of you and want more of your personal time where dinners, clothing, could be purchased for you. How does the law stipulate the difference between a woman who likes you and is buying you things because you rocked her world versus the same scenario as an escort?

Thanks for your help!

Re: Male escort Service

You can rationalize away the law, ethics and morals all you like, but if an 'escort' isn't there for prostitution, the police are going to be hard to convince. Sex for money is going to result in someone's arrest, through a sting operation most likely. If you don't like the prostitution laws, seek to get them changed. Personally, I think they should be discarded in favor of Nevada's rules of 'regulation and health standards', but that's not what's here.

Re: Male escort Service

The law is very simple. If there is a quid pro quo exchange of sexual services for money or anything of value - there is a problem. If one does not cross that line, there is no criminal offense. The inquiry will always be based on specific facts. There are situation where the line will be very blurry indeed.

I suppose escorts are always potentially exposed to blackmail or something of the sort. However, in real life this is probably less likely because person who is soliciting sex and then reporting is then exposing himself/herself to criminal charges for solicitation. That said, staying away from personal relationships and entanglements is always a good idea.

Hope this helps. Fascinating topic :) - feel free to call to discuss.

Re: Male escort Service

The answers you seek are a bit complex for this forum. There is no way anyone could possible conceive of every scenario that could arise. It might be wise to have a law firm on retainer for your service. That way, when questions arise or scenarios are presented, you will have someone to turn to.
