Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Is there a ny recourse on a traffic violation code cvc 22500?

Pulled up in a bus zone (unapparent to me) let someone out of the car while a policeman parked in front of me in the red zone proceeded to walk over and write me a ticket while my vehicle was still running, lights on and all. Do I have any recourse on this to request a hearing or should I just pay the fine?? Help- $250 fine is out of my budget!!!

Nolo Press publishes a book "Fight Your Traffic Ticket". Check it out it may have some information that would help you.

If you decide to contest the ticket take pictures of the approach to the bus stop. These pictures will show how poorly the bus stop was marked. You might also want to get a copy of the bus schedule to show that a bus was not present and therefore you did not interfere with a bus using the stop.
