Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Pending Charges

Can a person move out of a state when they have possible pending charges against them? The DA has not filed formal charges yet and the bail was closed.

Re: Pending Charges

I take it you mean, one year went by and the bond expired.

If that is the case, you should be under no obligation to remain in the state. If you move, however, I would keep my eyes on how the investigation develops. You do not want to be surprised by a bench warrant one day.
