Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Possession charge with no possession

Lived in CA while in Navy - been back in TX for 1 year. Got pulled over yesterday and found out I have an outstanding warrant for my arrest in CA. One count of possession of narcotics, and one count of contriubting narcotics to minors. I've never been arrested and the ONLY thing I can think of is over a year ago, I was at a friend's house - there were teenagers there - police were called for loud music, said they smelled pot, searched the house and all occupants and found nothing. They took names and left.I'm currently a security guard and none of this showed up on my criminal background check 6 weeks ago. What do I need to do?

You need an attorney to appear in the court that issued the warrant to get their info, then determine how best to prove it wasn't you so the court will dismiss the charge and warrant. Call if interested 714-960-7584

Do you know where the warrant is out of? Was your name and information taken by the police? We can check and get more information with the court. I will need your full name and date of birth. Please contact my office at 310/277-1707 so that we can discuss your options.

Sincerely,

Lawrence Wolf, Esq.
