possession of controlled substance
is it considered a legal search if a nurse in the emergency rooms finds drugs in my clothing and gives it to the police?

"probably" unless nurse is acting at direction of the police to make it a police search.......have your lawyer investigate this issue

Fully legal search. The nurse is not an agent of the police to whom illegal search and seizure rules apply. Sorry.
