Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

If someone who had a prior felony of assault with a deadly weapon n faced charges of 17 to life in san Jose but served a yr and have been out on probation for the last couple of yrs in san diego, but has now been charged with 243(E) PC BATTERY:SPOUSE/ETC 4 months away from getting off probation In January.. What are their chances of violation n serving that original sentence?

^ he ended up getting 3 yrs with time served from the first charge and half time giving him exactly 1 year from the time he was taken into custody. he is now facing another charge felony 273.5 on a different case with childs mother. would it be ran concurrent or would it be better to go with an attorney to fight another strike?

What do you mean, "go with an attorney"? If I was facing 17 to life because I couldn't stop assaulting people, I'd sure as heck run and get an attorney.
