Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

probation violation

i am curious to find out if there are any other options besides jail for a violation. I am 9 months pregnant and not getting in trouble other than not reporting i already have a 2 year old and i am working closely with the adopting parent of the unborn child. I need to clear this warrant so i would appreciate your feedback

Re: probation violation

Thank you for your inquiry, and the opportunity to advise you.

There are options available aside from jail, but I have to concur with counsel - you would be well served with having an attorney present.

For one, every day you delay clearing up the warrant shows failure to be responsible, which is a huge issue with judges. You need to clear up the warrant, yourself or through an attorney, now. From there, you can pre-qualify for alternative sentencing, or clear up other issues with your probation that may make your efforts to get "ABJ" (anything but jail) easier.

Thanks again, and if you have further questions, need more information, or would like legal representation, please feel free to email me directly at [email protected].

Re: probation violation

Contact the attorney who defended you originally and ask her what you need to do. Although you seem to think it is no big deal, failure to report is a serious violation and you should not try to resolve this problem on your own.
