Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Public defender misinformed me -Can I change my plea?

I was in court for failing diversion due to dirty test-although I have protested the results.

The public defender told me my only option was prop 36. when I informed him I had a job in sonoma county, he said that I could complete the program there. The sutter county probation dept says all counseling and bi-weekly testing must be done there.. Now that I have pled guilty, I find that my only options will cost me my job no matter which I choose. Have I painted myself into a corner, or can I change my plea?
