Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

I was pulled over for expired registration which i showed the officer i had my new registration just forgot to put the sticker on my license plate, then randomly asked if i had anything illegal in my car and would i mind him searching, i say no, he asked me to roll down all windows of the car and to turn on my dome light then step out of the car, set me down on the curb for 30 minutes until another officer and a dog came, sniffed out my car, found nothing, gave me tests to see if i was under the influence and since the officer was unable to get what he was looking for except for the increase in pulse do to my nervousness, i was told i was being taken in for a blood test which i was and then told i'd be let go in 4 hours which turned into 13 hours. luckily the officer moved my car for me so that they wouldn't have to impound it which saved me a few hundred dollars but overall does this sound like a normal procedure? I think it's absolutely ludicrous! how can i fight this case to where the results no matter what are not usable against me?

We get this question about three times a day. You were nice and cooperative with the officer and volunteered to have your car searched, and then you volunteered to be questioned for 13 hours. All you had to do was not speak to the officer and not consent to be searched, and you would have been on your way. Your Mommy and Daddy should have taught you this.
