Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Hi, I received a red light viloation in the mail the other day (California). However I was not the driver.... my friend was and he doesn't have a driver's license. (Yes I know, not good idea). Anyways, on the back I am supposed to name the driver (if its not me), but don't want him to get in trouble. Obviously the picture is of a guy and I am a girl. If I fill out the back with my information will I get in trouble? I don't want to name the driver, do I have to? I don't mind paying the ticket (he said he'd pay it), but don't want him to get in trouble. What can I do so I don't have to name the driver, but like I said I would pay the ticket. Please help!
