Re: record change

IF it is a felony capable of being expunged [not all are], and you have completed all terms of your probation, then you can petition the court to reduce it to a misdemeanor, and then a motion to expunge it. Generally people hire counsel to prepare and file the appropriate motions and pleadings. Feel free to contact me if you need such help.

If probation is finished, you file a 1203.4 petition and (if qualified) a 17b to reduce the charge to a misdemenaor.

If probation is not finished you alos have to file a 1203.3 request to terminate probation. On felonies, some courts require probation to initiate the process.
