What recourse do I have against a woman who approached my car, stuck her hed through the window and willfully spit directly in my face? The people were called and charges were brought against her

In the criminal courts your only recourse is to call the police and ask them to ask the DA to bring charges. Any other recourse is in the civil courts and for that you will have to make your request on a civil litigation page--not criminal.
