Re: Resolving outstanding failure to appear

You must appear in the court which issued the warrant in order to settle the matter. It cannot be done by someone else or by telephone.

If you cannot physically go there, then writing to the Judge is the next best thing if you don't have a lawyer.

Usually it is just a matter of money in ordinary traffic cases.

Re: Resolving outstanding failure to appear

I intend to only suppliment the other attorney's answer. Your husband's problems are his alone. Your problem is the traffic tickets and failure to appear. However, you may need to appear at some point as a witness. So keep the D. A. informed of your where abouts. If you were to walk into the courts that have issued the bench warrants, and appear before the judge. The judge would simply fine you and give you time to pay the original fines and the cost of going to warrant. Which is between $50.00 to $150.00. Write a letter to the judge. If you don't know then address it to the presiding judge. And ask him/her to allow you to plead by letter or notarized Tahl form, and make payments on your fines.
