Re: Responsibility for illegally purchased goods delivered to my address

I had the very same thing happen. The police called me and I acknowledged I had received the goods. There was an obvious alias for the name of the person that had sent me the two items. I thought I knew who had sent it. So I told the police all that I knew and nothing came of it.

So in your case you may be charged, or maybe not. You've not given me enough information to make an intelligent guess. In my case the card was stolen in San Diego by a person that had accepted the credit card int eh name of the person that had lived there previously. And the person that made the purchase with the stolen card had purchased numerous items and I was only one of the recipients.

So there are numerous facts that you don't know, but the police do. So there are numerous facts that are in the equation. You'll just have to wait and see.
