Restitution for contents and/or damage

A individual was arrested for being in possesion of my vehicle that was stolen. A plea of guilty was entered.If the Judge orders Restitution for me,Will the I need to file a small claims suit also?

No,the Criminal Court now has the power to order restitution which becomes a civil order as well, it was part of the victim's rights bill passed a few years ago,, all that is needed is you to provide information about your losses, and the court will order that amount, if there is objections then, a restitution hearing will be held allowing you to have your personal input before an order is made, you can do a small claims action if you want, but it is unnecessary,,,good luck......pdm
